I start at Mount Sinai in Miami, FL on Monday 7/26 for their new grad nurse orientation. Anyone else who will be starting as well? I haven't received anything on a schedule, preceptor, etc. or anything at all from HR. All of my onboarding docs are complete, employee health visit and drug screening done, but still nothing. Just wanted to know if there is anyone else in the same boat.
I got some answers to the questions I had from my recruiter.
questions:
-At what time should I arrive on Monday the 23 and where should I go?
-Is there anything specific I should bring with me such as computer, notebook, etc
-Do I have to pay for parking?
-In terms of the uniform: Are jogger pant scrubs allowed and what color are my undershirt, jacket and shoes allowed to be?
answer:
You will be receiving an email by Thursday with all the orientation details, including times, parking, location etc. No, you don’t need to pay for parking. No need to bring anything with you, the facilitator will provide all you need. For the uniform I see everyone usuing regular scrubs not joggers, maybe later on you can see if other may wear it on your unit? Normal scrubs is what the hospital uses but I see some managers a little flexible. Undershirts most be white, shoes all neutral colors.
since I didn’t get a straight answer about the jogger scrubs I’m gonna wear cargo scrubs on the first day and then ask in person to make sure so if they’re not allowed I can return them.
hope this helps!
Good evening, question how long after interviewing with the unit manager did it take for the recruiter to contact about their decision? I believe a class is starting Sep. 13th and I’m just wondering about the process. Interviewed Wednesday for telemetry step down but they suggested another unit for me to interview with today (8/27/21) for behavioral health/Meg surg unit. Haven’t heard anything I’m assuming because it’s Friday and my interview was at 1330 this afternoon. Thank you in advance

I had an interview with the unit manager on Friday and she told me right then and there that it was a "yes" from her. However, recruiter did not reach out to me until Monday next week.
Good luck!
Thank you so much for the response. I believe another manager is suppose to call me from that same unit to ask further questions but I’m guessing I won’t hear anything until Monday. Thank you!

Will do!
my background check actually fully went through and was completed yesterday. It took almost two weeks because some of my references didn’t answer etc but it’s officially done. I also did my physical, drug test yesterday. Only missing getting my picture taken for my badge which I’ll be doing this upcoming week
You’re starting in the Miami Beach location?
