I just wanted to know does anyone think it is possible for a new grad with BSN to be offered a nurse manager position? What are the pros and cons of taking this position straight out of nursing school? Thanks for all inputs!!!!!!

One word no. You will be setting yourself up to fail. Too many obstacles

I think that as a new grad it's certainly possible for you to be bright, clinically competent, and business savvy enough to be a nurse manager. However, I am positive that you will lack the credibility to gain the support, respect, and compliance from your staff. Don't do that to yourself or the staff nurses. Get that experience, that "street cred" and then if you wish progress to be a great nurse manager!

Don't lose your license. Oh, what is the name of that facility again so I can surround it with yellow police tape and label it a crime scene.

no offense but I can't IMAGINE a place that would hire a new grad into a Manager position...I feel they would be setting you up for failure.
