I would apply to all the hospitals if I were you. Just because they don't advertise a new grad position doesn't necessarily mean they won't take new grads. If you can impress the recruiters, then they will point you to the right place. I'm still in school, so I may not know what I'm talking about. :) It just stands to reason.

Thanks, Staragate. :) I'm just super nervous that I might end up somewhere that doesn't have a good new grad support system in place, but I guess if I get a job at all, I'm one of the lucky ones!
Hey, I am kind of in the same boat. I have not seen anything here in Tucson for New Grad RN's, I have not even seen Phoenix either. If you are willing to leave Tcson I would look at the Hospitals in El Paso TX. I do not recall their names but they do offer New Grad internships that run about 4 months mostly classroom then out on the floor with a preceptor. I was considdering them but making a move at this time just is not in the cards for me. There are some programs in Aluquerque NM too. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the comment. I am actually trying to move to Tucson because my boyfriend lives there! But I'm a little nervous because I'm currently in my last semester of school out of state and it is hard to get ahold of the nurse recruiters. I called the nurse recruitment office at UMC, left a message, and never got a call back. If I was in Tucson, I would just go down to all the hospitals in person.

Are there any new grad nurse residency/internship programs besides the one at UMC in Tucson? I can't find anything out about the one at UMC from the website, but I know it exists.
I'd really like to get in at a Tucson hospital that has a lot of support for new grad RN's. Does anyone have any suggestions for hospitals that are good for a new grad or does anyone know where I can find more info out about the one at UMC?
