Hi Everyone... I am a New Grad who recently passed my boards and am planning on moving to Philadelphia. I was wondering if anyone knew of any hospitals who are taking New Grads.
Thanks for your input!

Do you have your BSN or your ADN? In Philadelphia there is a strong preference for BSN new grads- some places won't even consider new nurses who don't have the BSN. As far as who is hiring....pretty much everyone, but slowly and only for a couple of new grad positions at a time and you're competing with the graduating classes of several local universities and community colleges.
You'll want to look at the hospital job sites daily and apply immediately if you see a new grad posting.

Strong second to what hiddencatRN said. I'll add that from the data I've seen, there are between 25 and 30 new grads generated by the Phila area nursing schools for every new RN position created in the area. That doesn't mean that there are that many new grads applying for each open nursing position - some jobs that are posted are to replace those older RNs deciding to retire for example - but it does mean that as a new grad, you are likely to have some difficulty landing a job.
