New Grad LPN: Job Hunt

Nurses LPN/LVN

Published

Hello everyone! I'm a newly licensed LPN and I was wondering how long does it take to find a job? I see that a lot of places require you to have at least 6 months experience which I obviously don't have. Are LTC facilities more willing to hire new grads or should I look more into home health agencies?

ok kool...how long did you have to train for?

i currently signed up with one as well

I'm in Georgia. the week after my NCLEX I put in about 12 job applications in LTC, hospice, and publc health. By tge next week, 9 of them had called to interview. I was able to pick my top choices.

3 days of training

I graduated in August 2014, waited some months to take NCLEX and passed it. I applied for my job on Wednesday, and got hired on Thursday. The other place where I applied wanted me to come in for an interview, but I had to decline it. My area really needs nurses.

HELLO,

Fayetteville, AR is hiring new grad Lpn's at 19 an hour to start. I have had many job offers in my first two weeks of interviews. Fayetteville has a variety of job offers and a very low cost of living. The area is low crime as well. Springfield, MO has many new grad opportunities as well.
