I just graduated and waiting for my ATT for the board of nursing. Just wondering what facilities are hiring new grads right now.

Mayo hires new grads
I should have mentioned I have my ADN and it seems like some facilities are weary of hiring new ADN grads.

Some of my classmates with ADNs were able to get jobs with Healtheast. I know of one in particular at St Johns mental health (however I also applied to that one and didn't get it) and another at Bethesda. It seems like Bethesda is one of the easier ones for a new grad to get a job at. I went to a Fairview job fair and I'd say don't bother with them without a BSN or experience (it was weird... they sought out our school to come, specifically say they have new grad positions, but then suddenly wanted nothing to do with us once we mentioned not having those things).
Me, I'm just going to hit the ground running at a TCU and worry about trying to get a hospital job later, if I even decide to do that. Honestly, the job I took has amazing benefits like loan repayment and retention bonuses, and a better schedule. I think the hospital is a bit overrated- if you're "lucky" enough to get in, it probably will be nights and part time.

Good luck on your jobs. Shelby, it sounds like you have a great gig! Have you started it yet? Also, Bethesda has a good reputation as a LTACH. I am considering going back into hospital and would apply to Bethesda, who are opening a new psych unit, but Im not up for the commute.
Again, good luck on NCLEX and first jobs!
