New Grad Internships/Residencies

Published

Hello, I wanted to know if anyone knew if there were any new grad residency programs still open for Spring graduates??

If not, when do the residency programs for Summer graduates open??

Thank you!

P.S. I am looking for NICU, Nursery, L & D

Specializes in Nursing Professional Development.

It might help if you told us what city or region you want to work in.

When I graduated, I spent about a month or two straight just googling hospitals that I might like to apply to (all over the country). I also googled great places to live and used that to guide my search of hospitals.

Some search terms to try:

"NICU new graduate residencies"

"Graduate nurse residencies"

"best hospitals to work for"

"Best hospitals for a new grad"

"Best NICUs"

Then I called those hospitals with my questions and applied online :). Good luck!

I search that and all that pop up are for experienced nurses

Specializes in Pediatric/Adult Oncology.

Try using Indeed.com and typing in "New Grad RN" in the job search bar and Houston, TX in the location search bar. Also, don't be shy to apply to other units as well just in case your first choices don't work out. Good luck!

Definitely use indeed.com! It is the best and you can have it where they send you emails when things fitting your criteria pop up. There may be less still open for summer but it doesn't hurt to look. Also some hospitals do October residencies, I saw Memorial Hermann just put their October one out like a day or two ago!

Good luck, and don't give up! You'll get what you're meant to have. And as said before don't be afraid to apply to things outside of what you think you may want.
