Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

if you already have the letter of offer, proceed with your 456 visa application (that's the visa required by the school)! as in asap since they inquired about your application status. i havent received any letter with the heading "confirmation of admission" from IHNA. regarding the vaccine declaration, you have to present it on the first day of orientation.
Omg, Thank you. I thought I have to wait for the confirmation of admission. I should start processing my visa now.
Why would you need a Philippine bank in Australia? We use remittance agencies to send money to the Philippines. Open a BDO acct for OFWs in any of their branch there in the Philippines before you go.I recommend opening a bank account in Australia as soon as you get here.hi..anyone here would know if there is BDO in Melbourne? or any commercial banks here in the Phils that have an international branch in Melbourne..Thanks
Hello everyone.
I am a newbie here and been reading all of your posts with regard to the Bridging Program Course. I am a RN too and from the Philippines. My concern is the difference between the bridging program and the aged care III which some also are pursuing. I would like to know too if taking the aged care course would help anyone to acquire a permanent residency in the future or eligible enough to apply. I have heard that if you took the bp, chances are that you are guaranteed to live and work in Oz in the long run (with a lot of hard work in applying for jobs too) and be able to have a PR. I have also learned that AGed Care III Course would just allow you to study on the given time of your units and less likely for you to apply for PR, is this true? I hope someone would enlighten me about my questions. Thank you so much.
Guys, what's ANMAC's function do we need to get our skills assessed by anmac aswell? Or ahpra registration is enough. Ive read in some thread that they had their skills assessed by anmac then by ahpra? Or we dont need anmac assessement? Im confused. Can the guides like ced and silverdragon clear this up?
My understanding is ANMAC assessment is to do with the government and immigration rather that registering as a RN with APHRA
