Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

hi, i am newly joined & overseas based i have one question regarding the certificate of good standing from PRC if they are going to issue me one if i'll request for it since my license already expired 1 yr ago. thank you.
They won't issue you any certificate because you are not currently registered.
Ask a relative to process your registration first.
Hello. I was supposedly for january Intake but was moved to may, even if you have or you dont have problems regarding finances, what you are fightingfor is the availability of the slots. So if i were you, immediately pay the tuition so you can secure ur ecoe. Hope that helped!
Hi babsinc,
LTU gave me the Letter of Offer yesterday and you're right, I just need to pay in order to accept the offer as soon as possible.
Are you for the May 2012 intake? If so, would you mind including me in your list of housemates/roommates?
Thanks,
Ster
PS. Pls PM me your cell number so i can communicate with you. Thanks in advance! :)
Really??? oh i love to enroll IHNA. Have they interviewed you? How was it? haha.. Can i ask if what email address you used in sending your dox since mine has been sent back for 3x(thru a mailer-daemon)..i really don't know what's the problem.. Are you done with the pre BP course that cost 500 AUD and the visa thing?
I hope i could get IHNA for their feb intake..oh Lord! :redpinkhe
Did u try to convert ur files into pdf? Sometimes the size of all the docs is the problem....
@glioblastomaHi... I'm not that new here, I have read all your post, Thank you for all the information given. I would like to ask if we cane exchange eMails since I have some questions that I have to ask regarding my application to AHPRA.
Thank you and more power! God Bless!
Sorry but it´s been a while since Glio last posted here....
hi guys! to those nurses who are done with their BP and currently looking for a job, or for those who already found their employers, I would just like to ask some of the qualifications that employers are looking for in Australia (besides registration of course :) ). I have 1 year ER experience and 1 yr 5mos experience as a Radiology Nurse. I'm a bit nervous since I've read that there are some nurses in Aus who are finished with their BP but unfortunately had a hard time looking for a job.
Do you guys think that with my working experience it would be easier for me to be hired or it really depends on the discretion of the employers?
Thank you in advance! :)
ETEA will....Castlemaine is no longer accepting students for the incoming year 'cos their waiting list is already full:uhoh3:
I will try to contact ETEA to confirm if they will have march intake..Thank you for the info nursenathalie
anyway, have you applied or enrolled for a BP? and where?
:):):)
hola ds42:)I had my interview this morning and i guess it went well. however, i am not that confident with all of my answers. At first, i was asked about my self, secondly she was asking some experiences based on my clinical exposure and lastly she threw about 4 questions and its all situational. Its more of prioritization. Perhaps i answered everything, yet not really sure if i answered correctly hahahaha
:uhoh3:
( back of my head said " bahala nalang si batman) huhu...
have you passed your application form and other requirements?
please let me know the progress ok.. btw, are you going to apply in ihna? i sent them an email and they responded that they still have slots for their feb intake..
Hello Makikay! yes, I already passed my requirements. I was scheduled for interview as well. Have you been informed by them regarding your application status already? I'm starting to feel nervous about the upcoming interview.

You won't have a certificate of good standing because you are not registered anymore.
Ask a relative to process your registration and then apply for the cert.
