New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

By the way how do I get and submit for WA registration? Do they have there own website?

Go to AHPRA website and download the AGOS04 Form and backread this thread starting from page 1 pls...If you have completed the requirements, submit it to the address of AHPRA WA found in the AHPRA website also. They don't have their own website, as I have said before all state boards were merged into one, which AHPRA. Pls. research first.

whew! i never thought gathering some infos would be this hard. i wish it was as easy and as common as applying for NCLEX.lol thanks anyways.. I appreciate your time :)

Congratulations. How long did you wait for your eligibility from WA APHRA ?

Thank you. :) I got my eligibility in less than two months after passing my application in WA AHPRA. I recommend new applicants to apply here also. Considering one will pass complete requirements, with no lacking documents, for sure one will be looking at that 1-2month time frame as well. For those who are still waiting for their eligibility, goodluck.

All the best to all of us. :)

to those of you who are planning to attend BP this 2011, what schools are you putting into consideration?

i see that a lot of schools have their next BP intake scheduled this september. how long is it to process the enrollment and visa application?

im just worried that i may not be able attend the september intake since it's only just less than 2 months and the processing might take longer.

hi LOimVE, how long did you receive an email from a case manager from the time you received your receipt of assessment for registration?thanks!:)

Hi guys!

Just received my eligibility letter today. Yipee! :) Thank God I did not have to wait that long.... Anyone out there who is in the process of finding a BP school to enroll to? I need a companion. :) please PM me.

Congratulations! Wait for me...i'll be receiving mine very soon. Where do you plan to take your BP? For me, I am thinking of doing it in INHA, Mercy or La Trobe.

Hi RN_beauty. Here's an overview of the time frame of my application:

mid MAY- passed my application to WA AHPRA. (I forgot the exact date, maybe 2nd or 3rd week of May)

June 3- receipt of application for registration

June 14- received an email from a registration officer that they have all requirements to complete the assessment

July 4- received my eligibility letter

secure your Eligibility first, that's the "ticket" you need to be accepted in BP programs.

Hi mookieblack. :)

That's also the BIG question on my mind right now... WHERE? hehehe. Im also considering INHA because i remember one forumer here say that they help you find a job after the BP. Mercy Health is also okay. They have an intake this November, and that should give me enough time for all the preparations (enrolling, visa processing, etc.)

Someone at ETEA told me that they still have seats for October. How about CON? Some say that they offer a shorter program, only 8 weeks. As much as possible, I want to start my BP before this year ends...

When did you pass your application to AHPRA, and in what branch? Let me know if you already receive your eligibility. :) thanks..

I got my receipt of application for registration last June 8 and until now, i haven't received any email from a registration officer. I also sent my application to WA last May. so i emailed AHPRA to inquire regarding my application status. They replied that AHPRA is assessing complete applications in chronological order therefore making it difficult to provide a set time frame for assessment. I'm starting to get anxious. :uhoh3:
