Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Part 1 thread New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand - Nursing for Nurses
good day to all!
What is easiest for me to do to become an Au RN?
I graduated from a nursing school here in Philippines and I'm afraid that my grades were not that good.
I only have 1 year paid experience (as a Job order only)
My IELTS score is 7
I also have a brother living in Catherine Australia in NT i think .. He said he would help me migrate when i have a 2 years experience already. He said his wife will sponsor me. Are we on the right track ??? What should I do?
Hi Im new here. I'm in a dilemma now if I'll be doing the conversion program or bridging program. I have applied last year at Deakin University and they offered me 1 year program that was supposed to be start last Feb, but because I wasn't really sure if that's the best thing to do I didn't paid my reservation slot for the uni. Now that a lot of filipino nurses are doing the BP which is the best way even if it costs too much? Thank you.
Based from my experience in job hunting, I didn't expect that it would be easy; however, it was for me and all my batchmates in the BP. We all landed jobs and I still get called for interviews. Maybe we are just lucky, but for those aspiring nurses who want to work here, don't be afraid because there are heaps of job opportunities, may it be in the acute setting or aged care.
Before coming here, I was skeptical because I was afraid I wouldn't find a job because I only have 1 year experience in the ward areas. So for you guys who have more experience that I do, surely it would be a breeze to land a job.
Hello Guys... I just want to share my experience in ahpraLate April : Passed my aplication in WA
May 13 : recieved an email that documentary requirements are complete
May 17: recieved my eligibility letter. :)
I am currently staying in Perth. The problem is only few bridging programs are offered in WA. Always pray and God will provide. :).
You can try VCHN in WA, i reckon they have intakes every month.. which is the case in VCHN VIC too..
Hi I just want to ask how will I get a proof of immunization? I do not have my baby book with me. For those who already submitted this, how did you accomplish it? Thank you.
I had the same situation before, I had to receive all the shots again. It was cheaper for me to get all the shots again than to check my level of immunity because I know a pediatrician which gave me a good deal.
Have you ever heard of "nurses 2 australia" its a consultancy.. They do have good program but my problem is they said they do not have a partner here in the Philippines and I have no idea on how i can check whether they are registered or not.
I don't want to repaet my ielts anymore my only problem was my bandscore in writing.. its 6

You know what we almost have the same luck! Let me provide the details..
Late April: Passed my application to Perth, Western Australia
May 17: Received an email from my registration officer that they received all necessary docs for registration and I just have to wait for the decision.
In my opinion, they are fast in processing than any other state in Australia.
Hope, this info helps nurses seeking prompt response from AHPRA.
