New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

World Registration

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

hi!

when we submit our application for the first time, what goes with it are the registration fee, application fee and assessment fee, right? please clarify

registration fee vs application fee: the same or not?

please validate this:

Application for general registration: AUD 115 (is this the application fee or the registration fee?)

application or registration fee: ???

Overseas assessment charge: AUD 220

it looks confusing ahihi. please enlighten me on this one...

im not sure about this :/

can i ask what did u put in the question no. 6 of the AGOS-04 form?? thanks...

Hi to all. Does AHPRA have issues with 2nd coursers? anyone?

i've read somewhere that if an applicant still doesn't have an AU employer or AU residence (whether the residence is owned by you or by a relative), then the applicant must mark "not applicable" on #6 of AGOS-04. please validate this...

do i need to submit also a notarized copy of my ELEMENTARY AND PRE-SCHOOL DIPLOMAS? or COLLEGE AND HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMAS only???

hi! is this for AGOS-04 #16 ?

i think they only need the BSN diploma...

Hi to all. Does AHPRA have issues with 2nd coursers? anyone?

hi! if ur BSN is 6 semesters then there's no issue about being a 2nd courser...i think

hi! i already got ur SoS. if it's not any trouble, i suggest you post it too here (convert it to pdf), so future readers can benefit from it.

@cioman94

hi! i thought ALL PHOTOCOPIED documents need to be certified/notarized? please clarify... given this requirement, only the CV should be the original one, so no need to certify the CV? pls validate...

moreover, i haven't read anything about submitting the original SoS, unless i've overlooked something...

im sorry, i cant memorize all documents required unless i will read the website, please check the website.. my only warning which is not mentioned in the website is that: EACH PAGE should bear the signature of the notary public.. if you have 5 copies of SOS and you wanna give the orig to AHPRA, then thats okey.. if you have many copies of NBI clearance and you want to give the orig then okey,.. otherwise have it certified notarized..

personal tip.. i dont remember if i mentioned this already... i went to a store to make for me a stamp "Certified true copy of the original document that i have seen".. i have been using that stamp whenever i need my documents to be certified.. it makes the process easier and the price of notarization cheaper..:D

@glioblastoma: i mean "OUR cvs are almost the same" not "ARE" hehe.. sorry :)

il find time to put my SOS here so others can see it. :)

glioblastoma has an answer to your question.. he was right that there was a discussion on this in the later part of the Part 1 Thread.. it was explained clearly and thoroughly such that i was not able to memorize it... if my memory is correct, i think it was haoyin who shared this information..

I read/researched this subject just now in the website... Answers below...

Pay the following:

Overseas assessment charge $ 220

Application for general registration $ 115

Plus this:

Fee for the renewal of registration at a pro-rated amount..

i was supposed to pay only $335 (overseas assessment + general registration fee) but the AHPRA personnel whom i've submmitted my application told me that i need to pay the application fee too, total of $450..huge amount right?:uhoh3: only the overseas assessment fee is non-refundable..

@ cioman94

is this breakdown of fees based from the "Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia Schedule of fees"?

when you said "Fee for the renewal of registration at a pro-rated amount" (how did you know that this is included too?), are you referring to "Fee for annual renewal of general registration: AUD 115 for overseas applicants from the philippines?

@ shynern07

hi! is your BP on-going or are you finished? do you find australians beautiful? ahihi

is the "Fee for annual renewal of general registration" the application you're referring to? so that would be AUD 115 if 450-335...
