I graduated from a BSN this past may and I just finished passing the nclex. I am looking to move to New Jersey to work, somewhere close to NYC. Does anyone have any idea of nursing salaires for new grads in NJ/NY, working conditions, good places to work. I've heard that New Jersey pays pretty decent but in exchange a lot of your salary goes to taxes. Basically any kind of information would be helpful. Thanksjoe

Yeah NJ pretty much bleeds you dry when it comes to taxes. I live in Central Jersey (philly area) and I started at 24.21 + shift diff.

South Jersey per-diem rates are 38-45/ hour. North Jersey pays the best rates. New grad rate is about 24/hour then it goes up according to experience and specialty which will include bonuses.
Hi everyone I am a new grad finished in May and took the NCLEX on 8/12 I am so nervous because I am able to go onto the site to see my results in the morning. My computer shut off at 91 questions I felt as though I forgot everything I learned. But I just wanted to say hello to everyone and that I am happy to be apart of your online community.
