New to Excelsior-How hard are the tests??

I just recently started Excelsior through The College Network. I was wondering what to expect when I test. Is just reading through the study guides enough or do I need to really study.

I'd go with really studying. The exams are not cakewalks. Even if you have lots of previous experience, the exams ask some goofy questions that will probably only be covered in textbooks or maybe the study guides you have.

I am enrolled with RUE Education and go through excelcior to do my tests. The tests are pretty hard. I have already flunked one thats when I discovered on the RUE Education web site they have a page you can get on you just have to sign up for a password and you can go to a nursing forum page not sure what it is called anyway once you get into it look for SETH tests on the subject you are studying and you will more than likely do very good. After I flunked one I got on there and I made a B after studying the SETH tests.

in our forums, you will find all the nursing news, support and direction that you will need as a new or seasoned nurse in the field. we have about 150 forums in total.

let this decision tree help you get started:

if you are a pre-nursing student--->we have a pre-nursing student forum.

if you are a current nursing student--->we have two forums for you.

1) general nursing student discussion forum for support by your peers

2)nursing student assistance forum to help with school projects

if you are preparing for the nclex-->we have our nclex discussion forum

if you are a current lpn--->we have the lpn/lvn corner forum and others of interest.

if you are a lpn to rn student---> we have a lpn to rn forum.

if you are a current rn--->we have many forums for you.

if you are in nursing grad school--->we have a graduate student nurse forum

if you are an advanced practice nurse--->we have your specialty forum.

if you are a nurse in career transition--->we have a nursing career advice forum.

and lastly, our list of nursing specialties is exhaustive...each has its own forum.

have a topic to discuss or question to ask? go to the list of forums, pick the forum that best matches, and post in there (pg 13 language always). you will get feedback. so, check back often.

to make a post in a forum, just go to that forum and post like you did here if someone has already created it...your post is a reply response.

to create your own new thread (the first post to start off feedback), you do this:

in any forum, go to the top yellow bar and towards the right, you will see something that reads--> forum tools. it is a pull down menu. click it. in that menu, you will see--> post a new thread. click that.

and there you go.....just follows what it tells you.

if your nursing related question does not fit any particular forum and is a general nursing related topic, post it in our general nursing discussion forum.
