I am blazing mad this morning.:flmngmd: Last night my husband and I were all ready to sign the final paperwork for a new vehicle from a car dealer starting with the letter "T." We were told that because I am a graduate of nursing school, 2009, we would qualify for $1000 off of our vehicle. We sat for two hours waiting for our turn to sign the paperwork, anticipating our drive home in the new vehicle. Last month another car dealer starting with the letter "F" gave me $500 off of my new commuter car for a new job I'll be starting soon. We thought of how wonderful this was! Wow, major car manufacturers giving back to nurses! But, halt, screech, in walks the finance manager with the deal-breaker: Only RNs qualify. Folks, read the fine print before you search for the dealer incentive. Needless to say, we're going back to the dealership that starts with the letter "F." Kudos to them for supporting ALL nurses! My husband deserves an American sportscar anyway. :rckn:

Did you let the 'T' dealer know exactly why they were losing your business? I'm glad you went with the other option. My husband and I used to deal exclusively with a dealer starting with 'S', in part because they helped us understand the fine print and find the offers best suited to our needs.

Honesty and integrity go a long way in obtaining and retaining business. I'll bet the first dealer could have made the deal, had they wanted to. Instead, they wanted your rebate in their profit.
