new to this board and i just took the nclex for the second time

hey everyone. I love reading everyones posts. They are so encouraging. I finally took my nclex for the second time and i am a nervous mess waiting for my results. Everyone that i have talked to has passed with 75 ro 265 questions. The first time I had 240 questions and failed. This time I had 188 questions. Has anyone had 188 questions and passed. Also I think that I got the last question wrong..but i'm not sure. Has anyone every got the last question wrong and still passed?....Please help me I'm going crazy.:eek:

Hang in there, kid! I have been where you are, that is for sure. I have taken the NCLEX three times; the third being today. I am in the same boat; waiting, waiting, waiting.... (sigh)

The first two times I took the NCLEX I got 265. The second time I know I got the last question wrong.

This time I took the test I got 116! What a change from 265. I didnt and still dont know what to think about that. I am pretty sure that I got my last question correct. But they say that doesnt necessarily make a difference.

Did you notice if you were getting alot of the "Who would you see first" type question? That is supposedly a good indicator that you are doing well.

I will be thinking about you over the next several days. I wish you the best of luck. Keep positive!

Hi,

I also had to take the test twice. I've been working as a CNA to pay off my bills since i graduated. It has been a really horrible nightmare the past 6 months. I ran into an old professor of mine the other day that asked me how my job was going and i had to tell here i wasnt an RN yet. It has been humiliating to say the least. All the nurses on my floor look down on me for not passing the first time. It seems they think Im not as smart for not passing the first time. I took it the first time and got all 265 and failed. this time i took it with only 75 questions and still waiting for my results...My state does not have quick results so I am in agony as we speak waiting for results. I wish my nursing school would have warned me about how difficult this test is. they seemed to not make such a big deal about it. I am with you girl.
