I'm having difficulty finding information regarding their nursing program or programs. This page references both an Accelerated BSN pathway and a BSN pathway. However, the nursing school pages reference only one 16-month program.

The most current Nevada State Board of Nursing (NSBN) shows no Touro University graduates taking the NCLEX in 2014.

Does anyone has insight to these two issues?

I've emailed Touro University and I have received no response. In reading past NSBN minutes, I see they had difficulty with reaching adequate NCLEX pass rates, in recent years.

I would check with BON about their accreditation because I have heard that they are still pending and that it's not looking good.

Again this is "heard" so this could be a complete fabrication which is why I recommend checking with BON

The NSBN website shows the BSN program to be fully approved. The CCNE website shows the BSN program fully accredited until June 30, 2017. If there any recent bad news regarding the program, I haven't been able to find it.

They did lose their accreditation at one time about two years ago due to low NCLEX pass rates and they were subsequently placed on provisional approval by the NSBN. I was very close to applying for their program but then they lost it so I changed my mind to CSN's ADN program. I'm not sure how their program is now and I cannot find any information about NCLEX pass rates in 2014. Maybe they didn't graduate any cohorts?

In any case, because of this I would avoid that school. There are several other reputable schools that offer BSN programs that have consistently maintained accreditation and approval such as UNLV, NSC and Roseman. I just graduated from CSN's ADN program and it was fantastic but I'm not sure if you're interested in that route.

Hi,

I was wondering about that ADN program u took. Is it true that it is really hard to find a job if ur an AD graduate? rather than BSN? coz most places now hires BSN grads?

Another CSN Alum! In Las Vegas it is very possible to get hired with an ADN. I also got that for free, so...

Hi SklinkyheadRN,

Ahh okay, Coz I was worried that of I finish my ADN program it I will have hard time getting a job as a ADN grad, some people whom I talked to said that they dont hire ADN grads now, I mean personally my friend is an ADN grad, and I'm looking forward to start and apply for the fall of 2016.

So my worries is that 2 years from that day, Would not be the same today and know how good of an investment if I start as a ADN grad.. My fafsa can only allow me to enroll into an ADN program ( talking about money wise, and BSN is much expensive and might need a cosigner) That's why I was looking for something I can afford...
