Hello All,
I wanted to know if anyone has attended Neumann's nursing program. If so, could you please tell me what to expect? I'm just anxious and nervous about finally starting their evening program in May. What I'm looking for exactly is study tips, test taking strategies, and anything else you might want to add. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Ceema
Flower, I feel your attitude on this thread reflects your level of professionalism and, therefore, makes it very difficult to relate to or believe your story regarding this school. Additionally, I hope you treat the CNAs assigned to your patients with more respect than you have treated Red. Red has valid opinions on this topic. I believe having been a student in any degree program gives a person the ability to comment on quality of higher education with regards to fairness and racism. I also believe it's reasonable to give that person's opinion a bit of credit when they are able to express themselves with proper grammar.
I graduated from Neumann in 82, BSN degree has served me well. Dr Rosalie Mirenda college president was my OB professor. The college has historically recruited minority members of the community to help the profession reflect the diverse community at large. Hey we had 4 males out of 26 students graduate in 82.
A heavy emphasis was placed on all the various supports available to students at start of classes each semester: tutors, writing center, teachers office open hours, councilors. etc. Despite peer encouragement, some students couldn't be bothered to take advantage of resources offered.

In 1982, as she said, 4 men in a nursing class was huge. Also, it seems their trend of extremely high attrition is something that's been maintained over a long period of time, meaning it's not new and they're not singling anyone out.
That chip on your shoulder is weighing you down. You should let go of it.

I never said anything negative about your degree or your job title. You started attacking me just because I said Neumann nursing program is racist. That was my experience and you can't justify or debate with me about it.
