NET and critical thinking exam...

Published

I'll be a pre-nursing student at St.Josephs College in Indiana in the fall, it's affiliated with St.Elizabeths School of Nursing. I have to go there to take the NET and a critical thinking exam, I'm a little worried. Can they tell me I'm not admitted anymore if I don't do that well on it, or do they use it to place you in classes. Does anyone know about the critical thinking exam and what it's like? Is there a book or something I can get to review some stuff?

There is a Net Study Guide available from eriworld.com, but I don't know about the "critical thinking exam". Maybe you can call the college and ask them the questions you need answered.... Asking questions is your right, and how you will continue to learn more throughout nursing school and your nursing career. Good luck! :)

I am currently reading a copy of the study guide for the NET, as I will be taking the test on June 3rd. The study guide does not have anything in it regarding "Critical Thinking," only "Critical Reading." This book is available @ http://www.eri.com, my suggestion would be that you purchase this study guide as everything on the NET is in this book. Same format, etc. I am much more confident about the test and am very glad I bought the book!

The school that I hope to attend admits on math and reading scores only. I would contact the school and ask questions until you felt comfortable.

Good luck to you.
