My friend is doing that and I called her crazy for it. Those courses are both tough but she did better in Microbiology. One class will suffer if you are doing both. It also depends on what other things you have to do, if you have kids, if you work. Both of those classes take a LOT of memorization! You just want to make sure you can do them both and do very well in them both. If you don't mind a B in one of the classes, I say go for it. My other friend tried doing it and had to drop one. It's tough but It can be done. It matters on the individual.
I don't have any kids nor do I work so I'm good on that front! And at my school the pre req for micro is a&p 1, you don't have to have 2. And yes Dezi I understand exactly what your saying, thank you for your advice. I've thought long and hard about taking both and I believe I can manage it because, as I previously posted, I am a very strong student with an excellent memory. And a&p comes very easily to me as well. So Hopefully I will be alright!
I don't see why you should not take both of them at the same time. I took Microbiology and A&P 2 together with other two courses " Math and Written communications" and got all A's. Besides that I have my 30+ hours of work. You can make it! Good luck. Starting my Nursing program fall 2014.
I took A&P II and Micro together this past fall and got a high "A" in both classes. I actually found that a lot of the same concepts were being taught in both classes so they kind of reinforced each other. If you did really well in A&P I (I ended up with nearly 100%) you should do great taking these 2 classes together. Just put it the study time. I am married, with two teenage kids, and I work part time. Just about all of my "free" time was spent studying for these 2 classes.

I've had a pretty easy past two semesters but this fall I'm going to be taking A&P 2 and Micro at the same time! I've read plenty of posts on here about people who have taken both and passed with A's, but I can't help but be nervous too! Ready for the challenge
I would love to hear about your schedule!
