hello, i just took the nclex 2/1. i passed with 75 questions. 2-4 days before the nclex, i didnt even know i was taking it. i was registered for 2/19, but an earlier date was available so i took it.

anywho, i used kaplan also and just did questions. i reviewed all reviews and rationales after my quizzzes. my scores werent all that great, low 60s but i knew i was ready. when i would do questions, i kept seeing the same kind of questions/scenarios so i was convinced i was ready.

my advice is to believe that you will pass it and do your questions. dont stress over your scores not being all that great, because if you have been studying i truly believe you already have what it takes.

best wishes and God bless:)

Hi,.

I am taking test Thurs. morning. I am working have wed. off and test 0800 Thurs. So my plan for Wed. is fly to test center, go out to dinner with nephew, take nice hot bath wed. night. I want to review alittle on Wed. but not much. I hope I have not made a mistake in working these three days before leave but there is a ton to learn at work that I hope will help me with exam. Like today I did two successful foley cath for first time ever and got to review all the stuff for that. Anyway I sure do wish you luck. They say not to study the day before, has anyone else heard this?

I just did Kaplan Q bank and used the content review book for areas I was weak in. I passed with 75 questions. Good luck!!

hi dignan! i'm curios if what is the question looks like in the real exam? are they thesame wth kaplan questions?? thank u

The questions on the exam were almost exactly like the Kaplan questions. The Kaplan questions were much closer to NCLEX than Saunders or Mosby or any other questions I had seen. Many of the practice Q bank questions I had appeared in a variation on my exam. I felt the Q bank definitely had me prepared to kick ass on the NCLEX.

oh thank u so much Dignan for the information, atleast me anxiety is lessen, becoz i didnt open any review material except kaplan...

The first time I only used Saunders and failed with 265 questions. This time I only used Kaplan and passed with 75. You can do it!!

dignan,

i used saunders before but it didn't work wiith me so what i did is that i enrolled at kaplan and i like their critical thinking strategies so i didnt open any review material.. Im so much worried wiith the medications.. but i will try my very best in aswering my medication....

Hey-

I just took the NCLEX on Monday and still don't knw my results, but I only did the Kaplan review. I did 94%of the qbank and all of the trainers and I took the class. The questions on the test were very very similar to the questions on Kaplan... I had 75 questions and the computer shut off- I think I bombed it- everyone I have spoke to says I passed, but just not feeling confident- i hear everyone thinks they failed.... never cried so hard asa I did on Monday :)- hopefully Ill have good news tomorrow!

Good luck to you and I hope everything goes well- I had some advice going into my test that I thought was helpful...

"This is not a test, this is a confirmation of what you already know"... hope that helps you!

Hey-

I just took the NCLEX on Monday, so I have no results yet... I only did Kaplan review, I took the class, did the trainers and did 94% of the qbank. my scores were not good... 50-60's every once in a while I would get a 70-80. The computer shut off at 75 questions.. not feeling confident- pretty sure I failed, but I think everyone feels that way...people say i passed but you can never be sure. The questions on NCLEX were almost identical to Kaplan! Just keep studying, relax the night before and think positive thoughts...just remeber the test test has to prove you to be 95% incompetent! Think about how hard that has to be!

Hopefully you'll have good luck with your test and Ill have good results tomorrow!

I was given advice for my test and maybe it will help you...

"This is not a test, this is just a confirmation of what you already know"

Hope that helps!
