Has anyone started to apply for the Nurse Corps loan repayment program? I wanted to see if anyone is having trouble using the application at all?

I received my welcome letter today!! I am so excited!!!

I received an email on 8/15.. I am under final review.

RN, Tier 1, Debt to income ratio: 160%

for those who have been thru this... It seems like I may have several weeks until I get the "official" email. does anyone know if someone was denied once getting to this point? if so.. That's cruel. they made me enter in checking acct info.. To me.. There can be no going back! Lol.

Fingers crossed.. For those still waiting as well.

It seems that status changes occur on Thursdays. There is a pattern that once some one accepts the award and goes into final review, they end up getting a signature a month later and that next Friday they receive their official letter. This is just what I've noticed on these threads so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for notice around the end of the month. I signed my contract and entered acct info on 7/31. RN, 167% d/i ratio

well guys - still "under review" here….fingers and toes crossed. hopefully Thursday will have some good news for me if your hypothesis is correct…..

I have been a long time reader of this forum and just wanted to share a little about my application for the loan repayment. I had applied in 2013, but was under review until the last day and then received my rejection notice on 10/1/13. I reapplied this year, with about the same stats 200% D/I and tier 1. I received my notice to accept the reward on 7/28/14, then the second signature on 8/11/14 and my welcome information on Saturday 8/16/14. I feel blessed to receive the award, but want people to know that if they don't receive it this year to keep applying, I know that I was down last year after being rejected. I don't think there is any rhyme or reason to when the sent out information or doing the final approval. Best of luck to everybody.

Still under review as well. I hate to think that we have at least 2 more months of waiting... :(

Just noticed my contract was signed by an OFAM Approver today around 10 am, so hopefully I will receive an official word tomorrow or later today. Hope every one else is doing well :)

Congrats! What day did you hear you were a finalist? It looks like the Hrsa website is going to be down tomorrow, so final word may not make it out until next week!

Congrats, that's awesome! I got my finalist email on the 31st late in the day, but still have no second signature! Hopefully I'll get some news soon!

A few little tidbits of information I was able to get from representative this AM.....

1.If you made mistakes on your application, they would have either tried to clarify with you or if unable to, they would have already rejected your application.

2. If you are still "under review" then you have no mistakes and are indeed still under consideration.

3. They have sent out rejections. So, the "under review" status is not a "catch all" status until the deadline.

Keep hanging in there, I know I am!
