I applied for the 2009 NELRP. I did not expect to hear from HRSA until September (IF I received an award). However, I was contacted by HRSA yesterday (June 15, 2009). They asked me to obtain pay off information for a few of my loans --- they had been unsuccessful with getting the info for those loans on their own, but did get the pay off amounts on other loans.
I asked the HRSA representative if this was a "good sign" and she responded that she could not confirm funding, but I am a "first funding preference" and "within range" (I think most who apply are "within range").
Questions: Has anyone else heard from HRSA this early?
Thanks!
Michele
Nursebreeze--we got two deposits in September (one for September and one for October). We then received another deposit in early to mid to November and now are waiting on December's deposit. I thought the stress would go away once we all got our acceptance letters. Now, I am constantly watching the bank for the deposit so I can pay on my loans.
Ok someone PLEASE HELP. I have a job offer from New York Presbyterian Hospital and am having major difficulty finding someone to verify it's a CSF for me and write that stupid letter. From the press release http://newsroom.hrsa.gov/releases/2009/nelrprecips.htm, I know that at least 2 people have gotten such letters because they ARE RECIPIENTS!! If anyone who has gotten NELRP from NYP can please contact me, I would appreciate it! Thanks!
I'M DESPERATE!
Hey Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone on here who has received the award in the past had loans that were co-signed by someone. No where in the application packet does it say that these loans do not qualify but someone at the HRSA call center said they didn't count. I thought most large student loans had co-signers! If anyone has any insight, let me know. I am planning on sending out my application tomorrow.
Thanks!

Did any of your loans have co-signers? Someone told me that this will make my loan ineligible. I dont see that any where in the info packet. Do you know?
Thanks, Sarah

FYI....I called hrsa again to today and spoke with a rep named Ashley and was told the same october fiscal year story but this time was told I would only get one deposit this month not two she said that the deposit in September was for October and that Novembers deposit will be 11/20/09. I told her of others who got two in September and one this month already and she said "do not compare your deposits to others"...So at this point I don't know what is going on! I'm so frustrated...
How many deposits have each of you gotten and when did your contract begin?
