Negotiating salary for new grad

Quick question.

Let's say, I do a research of NP salaries in certain specialty in my are. Mean is 90K, low 80K, high 112K. As a new grad what can I reasonably ask for?

Well, I will certainly look into that. I know the one where I am interviewing soon will be eligible. I just don't know where to start. But I'll look into it. I'm sure a simple google search will provide information.

Crunch the numbers, if you can make significantly more it might be worth it to leave their matched portion.

It's not just the dollar amount. Staying long enough to be vested also means I'll be able to purchase their health insurance at a considerably discounted price when I retire. Which means I won't have to choose between continuing to work until I'm eligible for Medicare or spending several hundred dollars a month for mediocre insurance.

Unless there's a huge upsurge in salary in my area, I don't think the difference in one year's salary is worth that in the long run.

Got it. If you are able to carry health benefits forward that can be a huge advantage.
