hi im having my self review for nclex exam... for now im doing 300 questions per day for practice... but that is 150 questions per content area ( by Saunders CD)... so far i think im doing ok! scores are ranging from 70-100 for quizzes and 80 and above for the EXAM area...

Just needed your insights... am i doing it right? or if you don't mind, please give me an advice on how to study more effectively for this exam...

Hey, I have question even though I know your trying to get advice how many hours is it taking you to complete 300 Question? Because I only do about 50 Questions a day which I was told thats fine for me whatever works for the individual because I have alot on my plate and I'm trying to start Suzannes Plan as well and to get there this is what I have to do @ this time. All the questions in the back of every Chapter which is going to take me awhile but 300 questions thats really good.

Actually doing 300 per day will do you more harm, your brain is not going to retain what you are reading. It is going to go in one ear and out the other.

Cramming is the worst possible thing that you can do for this exam.

Definitely cut down to about 1/3 of what you are doing to have the best chance of passing the exam.

Best of luck to you.

I agree. 300Q = brain overload.

Every one is different but I know what worked for me was doing a TON of questions. I did well over 3000 questions in a 3 week span.

It was not that I was learning anything new per say, but I was learning how to read an NClex question and how to rule out certain choices just by the sheer repetition.

When I sat for Nclex I felt totally comfortable, almost like I was at home doing questions.

The week before Nclex though I did stop, I would only do maybe 20-50 a day. Then 3 days before I did none.

Like I said everyone is different. A class mate of mine did ZERO questions, didnt even open a book from the time of graduation till Nclex. She passed. I would have been a nervouse wreck if I was her. By doing the mass quantity of questions it actually in a way calmed my nerves.

Best of luck!!!

for every 150 questions it usually took me about 2 hours to finish it...

one session in the morning and then in the afternoon, for a total of 300 a day...

but i got your advice... thanks to all..

it usually took me about 2 hours to finish a 150 questions in the morning then another 150 for another 2 hours in the afternoon...

but i got your advice! thanks to everyone!

maybe i should be more patient in my study plan...

thanks!
