Need To Stay Positive

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

HELLO,

I NEED TO STAY POSITIVE! :bluecry1:

I WAS SO EXCITED ABOUT BEING ACCEPTED TO NS, UNTIL I START TALKING TO SEVERAL NEGATIVE NURSES.

I WAS TOLD IT COULDN'T BE DONE, IT IS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE....

I HAVE TO CONTINUE WORKING A FULL TIME JOB, WHILE IN NS, HAVE TWO WONDERFUL CHILDREN (8MOS & 9 YOA),AND A SUPPORTIVE HUSBAND.

I KNOW THAT IT WILL BE HARD BUT IT IS DOABLE; RIGHT?

ANY ADVICE?

DO I NEED A LAP TOP?

DO I NEED A PDA?

Hey congratulations on getting accepted into a nursing program

I think your best bet is....You have a supportive family! What might suffer is....Your sleep pattern :D

What does you school semester schedule look like? I know it sucks to have to work (especially with a wee one at home) but it is doable.

I worked two jobs (my regular 12 hour night shift) plus a part-time day job. I had mum-in-law to help watch the kiddies. I went to my local college during the afternoon time on my two days off. PLUS I was obtaining my BSN from an on-line program. Geez, I don't think I could keep up that type of schedule now (oh and my three boys were each two years apart, they were 2,4,6 when I went back to school for my BA and BSN)

As for your question concerning a lap top computer and/or a PDA. I never used a PDA before, but a computer would sure help you with your research for papers and writing them.

If you have some $$ aside check out www.cnet.com to check out the different brands out there and also the prices.

Hey, Keep on Truckin' and Keep the Faith in yourself.

Keep us posted on how your semester is coming along!
