School nurses in my district in the teachers union (NYSUT) for about 10 years now but do not get any of the teacher benefits. We have different salary, different sick leave accrual, different longevity, no stipends for experience, advanced degree or certification. We feel like the odd relation thrown in a closet and forgotten.
I would love some salary and benefit figures from those in the upstate/central NY area as well as what union they are in and any advice you can give.

How about going to the New York board and also the School Nurse specialty board? I think that those two might be able to supply you with the most accurate of information. Good luck.

Greeting. I am a BSN with 20+ yrs. experience and work in SC. What is a union? :chuckle Just kidding.
My salary is 37,500 for 190 days. 37.50 hrs a week. Hope this helps.

Just a side note to Sue in Cortland. I got my first nursing degree at TC3!
