OK. So, I have been a LPN for over 6yrs now, all in LTC/Rehab except for a temporary stint in corrections when moving to Atlanta. I unfortunately have had a new job every year since moving here; some I have left voluntarily, some involuntarily. I have left the majority of my Charge Nurse positions because I refuse to be mistreated and disrespected by my superiors who feellike they can just because of their position. I simply do not tolerate it. I let them know that if they feelcomfortable doing it to me, I will return the favor. Unfortunately for me though, I have been labeled as come having a "bad attitude, unprofessional" and once as "insubordinate." AT NO TIME has my work or my performance been labeled as poor; nor has my judgment come into question. I'm outgoing, hardworking, dependable (never calling off, picking up extra shifts for the facility not cause I really wanted to, not being late), and ambitious. What I don't understand is why when my one year anniversary comes or is coming, why all hell breaks loose for me and I end up just leaving or I get terminated. I genuinely want to stay on a job for an extended amount of time and I want to "move up" but, its something that's elusive for. Out if frustration, I've decided to start my long overdue journey to study for my RN. I must say that I am from Ohio; and since living in GA, I've noticed a "difference" in the mindset of people here. I know its not me because, others that I have met from places other than the south notice it too. With that said, someone please offer me some kind of direction. I'm really frustrated.

Thank you all for your advice. For those I offended, I sincerely apologize. I read a few articles on the passive aggressive personality and unfortunately, a few of the traits describe me to a tee. So, its off to a counselor I go. Thank you all so much for being honest with me. Its hard to hear but if I don't hear it from the best place where sincerity is, this will continue to be a major problem for me.
