Need some opinions/advice

Nurses LPN/LVN

Published

hello everyone! i passed my nclex-pn last month & have been looking for jobs ever since. finding jobs in MA is difficult, since every job posting i see requires NURSING experience, which i don't have- only 5 years of CNA experience. now i'm running out of places to look, feeling completely discouraged, and just want to stop job searching. one main reason i want to stop searching is bc i'm in the process of applying to the LPN-BSN bridge program at a local university (YAY EXCITING!) & that requires me to take three NLN exams to be considered, plus the huge list of things i have to do in order to get in. i don't want to commit to a full time position if i'm going to have to ask for time off to study & complete my application/materials for the program. now i'm just wondering what i should do? where else could i look for jobs? should i keep looking for jobs? how long did it take everybody to find a job when they passed their boards? clearly, i need some help haha :banghead:

Home health. The hours are flexible and the pay is decent. PSA or Shriver Nursing are two examples of agencies.

Try Assisted Living Facilities.

Honestly, even if they want experience, apply anyways. It gets you experience filling out the applications and if they see your name again and again then you never know. That's the advice one of my nursing instructors had given us when I was in school. It never hurts to apply and put yourself out there! Good luck! :)
