Need info on LPN classes online

Nursing Students Online Learning

Published

Hi,

I'm a 23 year old newly separated mom of a 3 yr. old son. I am currently a CNA and have been working in a nursing home for the past 6 months. I am starting a job with home health aid and want to try to take my schooling for LPN online, as it would be a god send to be able to actually spend some time with my son. I don't know which schools are reputable and basically where to start..I know I have to have specifics from a school in order to get student aid. If someone could please point me in the right direction or any kind of advice I would appreciate it. thank you :uhoh3:

There are a few schools that have the lecture portion online, but you still have to do clinicals. What state are you in? I know of these type of programs for Arizona, Minnesota, Canada, etc. However, they are only for residents of that state.

There is also Deaconess, which takes students from most states. However, they are on an admission hold due to some type of meeting that has to take place with their BON in April. (I don't know anything else about it. I just read about it on this site somewhere).

Good luck.

There is an online LPN program in Minnesota, but you have to attend classes for skills and also clinicals. This technical college accepts students from all over. It is a good program, I am currently in my last semester. Here is the link, check it out and see what you think. The best of luck to you.
