Hope this helps:
State of Illinois - Professional Nurse
IL is not a compact state and licensure can take up to 10 -12 weeks!! It is one of the slowest states that I've ever been licensed in. Its very cumbersome because they go back through EVERY license you've ever held and that is what takes so long.
Good luck.

That's one of the pages I've already been to. I don't see anything there about an endorsement application. Is it there and I'm just not seeing it?
this might help you. State of Illinois | Department of Financial and Professional Regulation thats the illinois dept of finance and professional regulation. just go to the division of professional regulation. choose your profession. under the RN written application theres an application by endorsement. goodluck! =)
Found it - if you go State of Illinois - Nurse, Registered Professional Licensure Applications
and then download the application- on page 5, it lists the requirements for temp licensure in the state of IL.
Thanks for the help, everyone. I've declined the Illinois contract. Too cold there, anyway. I'm going to a warm and sunny compact state!
Hey..:)
We resemble that statement...(I doubt we "think" we are too cold here... ) Then again, maybe its just me. As much as Illinois is home I am hoping to go to Alaska myself! Maybe I am a traitor?

Hi, I'm an RN traveler licensed in another state. I need to get an Illinois license, as I have an assignment there. I looked on the Il website, but could not find anythng pertaining to already licensed nurses getting a license in Illinois. Can anyone post a direct link?
I'd really appreciate it!
I assume that by this time, you have endorsed your license? I am currently licensed here in CA, and I am planning to relocate in IL, can you help me how to endorse my license there? I visited their website, It confuses me though. I am an international graduate nurse.
hoping to hear from you. thanks
