my name is shavonne and i need help! i graduated nursing school in may 2006, i have taken my nclex 4 times with no success. i took kaplan 3 times, that helped but not enough to help me pass. =( for those of you who have passed or those of you who know people who have passed can you please give me advice. i could use it all! lol i am going to start my studying again on may 10th 2010 and i need a plan!!!!! please help
Guys, please don't give up!! Have you ever thought about that God does not want us to be a good nurse, He wants us to be great nurses!! That is the reason why he is taking us back to the content for additional studying to pass the test!! I took my boards on June 14th and failed, but that is OK!! I am still a nurse and it does not define who I am in Christ!! But, I am still praising God through the good and the bad!! Would you like to get your license quickly and lose them only to be sued!! OK, study the content because God knows exactly what he is doing with each of us!! Sometimes we have got to go through, in order to get through!! Be Blessed because God is able!! Ask God what is is that you want me to learn from this experience? Could it be long-suffering, patience, or perserverance!!

It could be content you are weak on try the Hurst I know Hurst helped me pass my Hesi Exit and I sit for the boards next week I hope it helps me with the boards also. Good Luck if Nursing is what you have a passion for keep trying:)

well, just relax and know you're not alone. many people fail. i still to retake mine too. we all put pressure on ourselves. on the 4th trys did you ever take the full test?
I took NCLEX-RN for three times and failed. I graduated my Bachelor's Deg on Nursing on 2006 Internationally. I tried a lot of review online courses and bought a lot of books. I tried Kaplan (live and online), NCSBN and Hurst online. Kaplan didnt help me a lot but their mock exam is really helpful. NCSBN Q&A's are same as those found in the actual exam. Hurst help me a lot in the content. Hurst really helped me a lot because it raised the grades I received. My grades are almost of near passing. I am retaking my exam before this year ends. I want to prepare a lot for this exam because it is expensive. As for me, I think you better stick to 2 books, a lot of books will overwhelm you, practice more Q&A's online, exercise and pray. Don't tell anyone you are taking the exam and try to keep anxiety low. I hope this helps.

Dont give up!!!! This is my 3rd attempt. I worked as a nurse in the uK and absolutely loved it. I would not trade it for anything else. My test is in 10days and I took the Kaplan class.

I passed nclex but I used Hurst, the Lacharity delegation and prioritization book, and kaplan strategies book but overall I think the Hurst and Lacharity are what helped the most:yeah:
