I am sorry you are having trouble passing NCLEX. I Haven't started nursing school yet, but I've been lurking on these boards for awhile. Have you tried Suzanne's Plan for NCLEX PN and RN. The first tip is listed in a sticky under the NCLEX discussion tab, and I've read many success stories following her plan.
Don't give up! I know you can pass!
Hi....I took the Nclex-PN 3 times in Minneapolis, but didnot pass. Went through Saunders,Kaplan,Lippincott and Mosby's. Every time I take the test looks like I've seen that question in one of these books for sure, but its really hard to remember all of them. If I have a really good memory in remembering each question in these books I know that I would definitely pass. I usually take more than a minute to answer one question. So does that effect my passing/the number of questions I receive?? I would really like to know how much time can we spend on one question...please help. Advice of any type is appreciated...thanks.
I also used the Saunders and Mosby. You really don't have to memorize them. Just make sure that you do understand the rationales. The things that you need to memorize are the lab values, and about the infection control like which diseases are for Airborne, Contact, and Droplet precautions. That really helped me a lot. Btw, I took the nclex-pn last Sept3, 08. Just found out today that I passed!
