Need help..embarrassing question inside

Hi,

I had a baby 8 weeks ago. I had numerous varicous veins down there. Well recently I had gotten hermroids (sp). Everytime I have BM there is blood everywhere in the stool and alot of it in the toilet. Well last night my DH and I dtd and as we were I was in alot of pain in my buttox area. Do you think that was from the hemroids? Any ideas???

Thank you

Please call your OB/CNM immediately! You need to be seen in the office ASAP. It sounds as though you are losing a significant amount of blood, and we can't possibly diagnose your problem or offer help over the internet.

Best wishes!

I agree with the above post, please call your DR asap! ANY type of abnormal bleeding should be evaluated by a professional.

Well I don't exactly have much advice on this topic except that I have a very similar problem. I had my baby 4 weeks ago and I had hemroids down there and now when I have a b/m there is blood in my stool and I'm not sure if it's from the hemroids, but it's not a lot of bleeding, either way it hurts like :angryfire I think we should both go see our obgyn's!

Sounds like hemorrhoids to me.....but I am not your doctor. Really, if this persists, I would get this checked by your dr. I am sorry you are going through this.

I am sorry you feel like that. How is your diet?

Are you eating enough fiber? Are you drinking 8 glasses of water a day?

You may have to increase your fiber.

For the bowels to work properly, a lifelong daily intake of 25-30 grams, or about one ounce of dietary fiber daily, is required. After the digestion of all proteins, fats and carbohydrates, and the absorption of water and other nutrients in the small intestine, the colon (the last five feet of the intestine) receives approximately one pint of liquid stool together with the undigested fiber.
