Need encouragement

I have started the LONG process of moving from UK to US, but I am only at the beginning, and reading all the posts about retrogression and the possibility of having to wait who knows how many years, I feel I will never get to America, & I thought the hardest hurdle would be passing the NCLEX RN exam ha ha

PLEASE tell me it will be worth the wait :innerconf

It will be worth it. My sister is an RN in the US (emigrated 15 or so years ago). I am here in the UK waiting in line for a visa. We exchange stories frequently (both Emergency Nurses) about work and life in general. She is often speechless about how it is over here.

I spent a year or so in the US in the 80's, thought I'd died and gone to heaven. It WILL be worth it.

It's just waiting is all it is, just the passage of time. Keep banging away at education and developing skills & knowledge.

Remember, if its easy it ain't worth doing.

You'll get there, we all will.

The waiting is the hardest part, (Petty, T., 1980something) :)

Thank you for your reply. I know my life will be so much better when I move to America. I have family in San Diego & in my opinion it is the best place I have ever been, my husband lived there some years ago & he is desperate to get back. I miss my family so much.

Sometimes I feel like selling my house & buying a business just to get there quicker. I know if it's meant to be it will be I'll just have to wait for the right time:bugeyes:

I have a job in the USA waiting, my I-140 is approved but unless something changes with retrogression I won't get there until 2012!!

I'm going to Canada instead!!

Hi

its a hard roller coaster ride but i do beleive its worth waiting for we have been at the immigration trail for nearly 5 yrs have passed my NCLEX house in UK sold 2005 and my case is now sat at the London US embassy and we already have a home in USA, yes it can be so frustrating but good things come to those who wait.

Have to say you need to be 100% posative when you start as u will have a lot of bad days but hang in there
