Need advice on $$ Xmas bonus for nurse?

Published

Hello

My husband is a new physician who recently joined a private medical group, and we don't know what is appropriate to give his nurse at Christmas. He is employed by the group on a salary basis (not raking in the big bucks). I don't think his group gives out Christmas bonuses to the employees. He and his nurse have worked together for 6 months. We want to give her something nice, but we have no idea what is an appropriate $$ range for a gift?? Any advice??

Thank you!!

Question...does your husband need another nurse?

:rotfl:

LOL!

Anything you give them coming from the heart and a thank you card will be greatly appreciated I am sure!

Really!! Where are you all? I'm gonna come work for your husband.

Seriously, he sounds like a real gem. Doctors like him are so much more fun and so much easier to work for!

Awww, how thoughtful. I worked for a doc in family practice, where we were both paid by the company. The xmas gift year one was scrubs (which I greatly needed), then went to a gift certificate for a total body massage (which I LOVED), then she started with the money on year 3, was 100 to 200 dollars a year, oh and she gave me 50 on my b0day from the first year we started together...geesh I miss her...I think the thought is what really counts without be cliche'...god bless doctors (and spouses) like you that are concerned with us peon nurses :p
