Can I ask your advices and opinions? My 1-140 was filed March 16, 2007in Nebraska Service Center and no approval yet. I am planning to apply in Saudi under the MOH, actually we will be interviewed this coming August in the Embassy. Is it advisable that I pursue my application? usually they employ their nurses 1-2 years contract.
Please, i need your advices. Thanx a Lot! Godbless!

To this i'll say kill two birds with one stone. Look out for buy-out clauses in the Saudi contract so that u may move down here when u get the chance. Good luck to whatever u decide to do.

There is a thread discussing Nebraska times and they are taking approx 9 months onwards as long as there are no problems with your file. There are a few waiting since late last year with Nebraska and approval

Be very careful doing this. You have signed a contract that you will be available for when your visa comes thru for the US. If not, then you will be required to reimburse your agency if not available. Make sure that you can get out of your contract for Saudi Arabia when and if you need to.
Some agencies can get quite nasty when they learn that you will not necessarily be able to fulfill their contract. You do not want problems on either side.

Hello suzanne, yes I will be very careful about it, I will try to ask questions regarding it during our interview/exam in the Saudi embassy this August, hope they will consider it (maybe considering a 1 year contract or we could by out contract if ever visa will be available for me). By the way I directly applied to POEA and I am not under an agency. Could also suggest me on what are the necessary questions to ask them? Thank you very much!

There's no problem ,if you have that decision infact, many Nurses working under MOH at K.S.A... mostly MOH has only one (1) year contract & renewble yearly.I knew some Nurses while waiting same as your plan & at the same time they're working at K.S.A. and i guess its not wise to tell the employer regarding your application (U.S ) just don't open any topic that you're only waiting for an approval.,what you have to do is read carefully what is written on the contract before signing. What i've learned once you're w/ them then after that ,its your choice to extend or not.
It was a good advice, I really appreciate it. Thank you very much!
you're WELCOME..
One more question. Do you know Nurses who worked in the MOH, that happened to buy out their contract? Do the MOH allowed them? Thank you again:)
