so I graduated BSN from other country way back 2008 and applied last may 2014 for NCLEX- RN here in LA California. Unfortunately, I'm not qualified to take the exam.
they advised me to complete an approved registered nursing program and to find approved programs in my area. but the question is, is it okay to complete the program in a community college or I really have to go to universities?
please advise... I feel hopeless with this career!
Online schools offer the RN-to-BSN completion programs for those of us who are already RNs with either diplomas or associate degrees.
Exactly. The entry to practice online or distance programs such as Excelsior or Indiana State are not accepted by CABRN. Programs for currently licensed RNs to upgrade their diploma or ASN to a BSN online such as WGU or UTA are accepted as the student already completed the entry to practice educational criteria with a diploma or ASN.
U're most welcome, this is the least I can do to help :). I truely understand how you felt, I am now struggling with the licensure process as well! My advice is try harder and do whatever it takes within your capability and affordability if you really want it (be a nurse in US). Silverdragon 102 (admin) always said "it's hard but not impossible", determination will bring you there! Hang in there justmeeh_ayz, rainbow will soon appears after endure some rain . Btw, I came from Malaysia.
