Need some advice before I start my prerequisites!

Hey everyone!
Happy Mother's Day!!!
I m starting my prerequisites from this summer.
Goin to finish both English classes and 1 history in summer.
I had a question about if it is okay to take A&P I and Psychology together in fall? If not then how should I take the classes? I m not sure which one is easier from all the prerequisites!
I m supposed to take these prerequisites:
English Composition 1 and 2, American History I or II, College Algebra (done), Human Growth & Development, A&P I and II, and Microbiology.
So those of u who are already done with their prerequisites, can you please tell me how should i arrange my schedule?
And also I m the beginner so any suggestion on how to study to keep the grades higher and steady?

Alright, so you're knocking out both English courses and history this summer leaving HG&D, AP I&II, and Micro--that's not so bad.

I would do the obvious in this situation A&P I and Psych in the Fall and Micro and A&P II in the Spring (if your school allows you to take Micro before completing A&P II). Your spring will be a little hefty with two majorly important science courses, but with a lot of committment you should be able to do well.

As far as keeping the grades up my only recommendation is don't let yourself fall behind. Keep up with your reading and assignments not waiting until the last minute to complete them. Not only will it make your life easier in these courses but gives you the necessary practice of staying dilligent which is all so important in Nursing school. Getting behind in the pre-reqs can be made up a whole lot easier than getting behind in Nursing school so you don't want get into any nasty habits. Also, try to comprehend the material as opposed to memorizing bolded terms and such. I always say that you should study and know the material to the point that you could get up and lecture the chapter yourself.

I also agree that you need to keep up on a daily basis. If it is allowed at your school, record your class lectures and listen to them again each evening to fill in gaps in your notes, identify concepts that you need to look up and study more, and give yourself more exposure to the material. If you find that you are having a lot of questions, don't hesitate to ask your instructor as soon as possible. Don't wait until the day before an exam. Keeping up like this goes a long way toward helping you be successful. Good luck.

One thing I like to do is google lots of sites that have lectures or notes on them about whatever topic you need. I think its good to have this as back up for when you have a question and can't speak to your professor asap. When I was studying for math, the thing that got me through it was going on youtube and finding videos of teachers teaching what I needed help on. Also, printing extra practice worksheets. I barely knew arithmetic and in a matter of months, I was in college alg. I guess you can apply the same thing with to any class.
