hello everyone. my first try at hesi was 3 days ago i scored a 923:up:. when i enrolled in the program the requirements for graduation included a hesi score of 850...however 6 months ago, the head of the nurisng department quit and we received a new nursing chairperson. once she came in, the "requirements" for the nj boards were increased form a 75% to 85%.the new chair decided to raise our hesi requirements to 1000. the day of the hesi, out of 35 people in my class one person scored over 1000. soooo in order to fix that, on the day of the exam she decided to change the required score to a 950. again only 5 people scored a 950 or above:cry:. not to mention our school is not an accredited nursing program, it's not affiliated with a hospital annnnd for a 15 month program of our learning mostly all the material on our own we still had to pay a whopping $20,000 for tuition. i have 2 more shots at the hesi. hopefully i get the 950 tomorrow. wish me luck.

Our program was also pretty much self taught. I have one more opportunity to pass I would be overjoyed with a 923. Good luck to you on your next try. I will say a prayer that you make the 950 requirement.

A year and a half into our 2 year program our Dept head decided that since NCLEX raised they percentage she should raise our Hesi score to 900. Which in comparison to raising it to 1000 seems like nothing. Anywho, we raised so much heck because the contract we signed at the start of our program held us at 850. So less than a week before we took HESI, she had to bring it back down to 850. It is so sad what these schools will do to protect themselves. If they we teaching properly they would have to worry about students failing NCLEX. Thats just my opinion.I wish you luck. It is very possible. I scoreD rather low on many of my practice Hesi's, but I scored a 1031 on the final HESI. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
