2nd Time Taking NCLEX...265 questions

Nursing Students NCLEX

Hey all!

i took NCLEX-RN for the second time yesterday (8/17/15) and I had 265 questions again.

The first time I took it (6/23/15), I had 265 questions and I was unsuccessful. The first time I was near passing on every category except one where I was above the passing standard. To study for yesterday's exam, I did Hurst remediation (content videos and questions packet), Kaplan questions with a classmate who also didn't pass, PrepU, and the Saunders book for more question practice. I felt confident and much more prepared to take it this time around. I was surprised that I got 265 questions again but I am determined that this time is independent from last time and I'm not going to base my results on that. I'm from NC so the PVT does work, but I'm just going to wait the two days. I find out my results tomorrow I'm just nervous. I didn't feel like I did bad, I actually thought I answered each question to the best of my ability and what I thought was best depending on priority and what was safe for each client. Any advice or pointers anyone can give me I would appreciate it so much. My mind has been going ever since yesterday, just a little nervous about tomorrow. I really want to pass.

Congratulations! A willingness to recognize one's shortcomings (first fail) and learn from them, will serve you well in your nursing career. Determination and a desire to learn is an awesome combination.

@TipRizzo did you pass??

Thank you so much!!! And I never gained anything in life easily so I know determination and hard work is what it takes to succeed!!! I can't wait to start my career í ½í¸Š

I took my NCLEX-RN yesterday for the 3rd time the computer shut off at 265. My 1st and 2nd was at 75 I failed. But yesterday my last 2 question was SATA. I hope that's a good sign. Any input guys?

265 is good!!! That means you were really close to passing and that you're still in the game! I would just wait the two days out and not do the trick (that's what I did lol) but how do you feel about the test overall?
