2nd time re-applying to test for nclex-rn in california question

Published

Hi guys! I need your help.. Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.. Thanks!

Ok so this is my second time reapplying to sit for nclex rn and instead of getting the eligibility letter i recieved a letter stating that i need to send them my clinical rotation etc., curiculum, etc.. from my school, and a copy of my ssn.. But i've sent all of it to them already when i first applied and i have taken the nclex rn twice already, yes i was devastated and sad about that but im definitely not giving up.. Then this letter came, now im really worried that i have to wait that long to try it again.. It took me almost a year to have my application completed and finally sit and take the nclex rn.. I graduated in the philippines 2009, and im currently here in the u.s. , so its gonna be hard for me to get those stuff at my school and let them send it to CA BRN, im gonna be honest my school sucks at giving those stuff especially if your not there in person.. Is there anybody out there that experienced this too? If so, can you please help me what to do or what to explain to the evaluator tomorrow when i call them? Please help me guys.. :(

Why do u need to get paper works again from ur school..u did took the nclex already as u mention..so it shouldnt be no problem at all re applying? mine didnt took long for re applying and no need to contact the bon ca. how come urs is different??

@ hi grceRN25...hi!just wanna ask if u receive your eligibility already,Ill be retaking NCLEX also but havent submitted my reapplication form yet..hope they will not ask for addtl.reqs.too..:confused:btw from what school are you?maybe your school completed all the reqs.needed the first time you applied and thats good for you kabayan, hope mine too...:)

proudpinay: i called california board, and they said that ull just have to fill up the form at the website for the retake/re-exam and pay 150 no need for the dean to fill up the form. and re-register at pearson vue for 200. but if u took the exam 2 yrs ago (not so sure for the duration but more than a year) u have to give them the additional things such as the dean filling up some part of the re-application/re-examination form.

I am in a similar situation, and called the BRN directly. They said all I needed was a cover letter indicating that there has been no new disciplinary action or convictions since the last time you applied for licensure. The evaluator said they keep all your original documents in a file for 1-2 years. You do not need to provide all that infor again. Also in California, you can retake the exam in 45 days. We are in 2012 (the rules have changed since some people on here have posted).

its my 2nd time taking the exam in CA too.. just wondering keanufox.. what fax no. did you use? i keep getting operators that are rude and just keep on transferring me to my evaluator but not able to talk to her at all.. it's always just a voicemail.

hi i have the same situation! im now here in US failed my first exam and now trying to reapply again for my second. they gave me same situation, they said i need to get my credentials again from my school. :( soooo, i just wanna know what happen to ur application?? tulong please? im really confused.
