2nd LVN License Renewal!! Can I use GE units from college for CE credits?

Published

My renewal deadline is in January 2014, and I haven't started CE yet..

Last 2 years, I took classes from Fullerton College and Cypress College, and I just read from

the board website that I can use some of GE classes as CE credits. Is that true?

And do I just convert the units to contact hours?

for example, I took psychology class, and it's 3 units. Is it going to be considered as 3

contact hours? Or should I just take 30 hours CE online? Please Help! :)

You need to ask your BON what they will accept and how to convert it. I would just start fresh since there are so many websites that offer free CEUs. Plus if it is over 2 years old they may not count anyway.

I recommend Western Schools for CE credits. I've used them for years, very convenient. Super fast turn around. You can complete a 30 unit course in a week more or less depending on your schedule. Complete the test, fax it in and request "speedier" response if your on a time limit to turn in your CE credits.

You are questioning if something you read on your BON website is true? Every state has it's own BON, so if it is on your state's website, it should be correct.
