NCLEX today...

Took the big test this morning. My computer stopped at 75 questions. There was a variety of topics, about 8 select alls, 1 where I had to put a skill in the correct order, a few calculations which I was not ready for (!), meds and more meds most were the commons, only 1 I never heard of, developmental, psych. It really was a mish-mosh of everything.

But, the overwhelming % of questions, especially towards the end, were on: who would you see first, what would you clarify, who needed intervention first....and choosing was no easy task. The answer did not jump at you and I feel like ABCs weren't even helpful. Honestly, I can probably say with 100% certainty that I really knew about 10 questions for sure. :(

Right now I feel like either I passed well or failed terribly if I go by the comments on this site when getting the minimum # of questions. So, now the wait until Thursday morning for the results. I hope I passed...I cannot imagine going through this again....

I definately know how you feel i took the exam also this morning and had tons of meds(ughh) some i had never even heard of and then mostly infection control and prioritizing. No select all, one med calc, no peds, no psych, i felt they didn't ask me about anything i knew...now the waiting game begins....i am so scared..all of my friends have passed and im just so nervous...I am honestly not sure how i did i feel clueless. It's weird I prayed for only 75 questions and thats what i got however, when it happened i found myself mad because i felt my vast amount of nursing knowledge wasnt displayed in the questions asked...Now i wait until thursday and just pray...it's out of my hands. Keep me in your thoughts...thanks everyone:o

well.. I just found out I failed.. Its not like i havent studied. I took the review course, i studied but the stupid computer did something i never could have thought.

it asked me a question I definately have no idea about. probably i got it wrong then it gave me at least 7, 8 questions in a row from the same exact subject. also i guess the half of the test was meds. most of them were the ones that i never ever heard of. besides, no peds, no matern. , no dosing.

it kicked me out on 75, i mean, i was an A student in college, its just unbelievable.

dont give up. delegation and meds are a biggie.Im sure that with a bit more study you will be fine.
