Nclex Test Results

Published

Hi: I'm new to this. I just recently took the NCLEX exam in CA ( 1 weej ago). The machine turned off at 85 -- I don't know if that's good, bad or what -- not so sure I passed. Are the results posted on line anywhere? If not, guess I'll just have to be patient.

Here is some info on the link to get your test results faster. Note they are "unofficial".

Hope this helps

This thread is specific to those that tested for CA and California does not participate in Quick Results that you are speaking of. And only about 50% of the states participate in that.

In CA, you need to wait until you see your name posted on the website for the BRN, and with the PN exam the only way to find out if one has passed is waiting for the mailman to deliver the letter to you.

The license fee for the LVN is not paid for until someone passes the exam, so there is no way to see a name posted until they have sent in the money, all told, takes about a month to have the license.

hi! I took my nclex nov.20 which almost a month now and I haven't recieved any letter from california.Does it really take this long for them to send the result>By the way im in london.Pls can anyone answer my question?

if it is more than a month now, you may want to contact the CA board regarding the delay.

Best of luck

Average wait time is about a month, the letters are not mailed out until about 2 1/2 weeks after testing. But then you need to add into the equation that it is holiday time so that the mail going overseas is also much heavier at this time of year.

I would give it until after the holidays before contacting them. This week coming is going to be a short work week, and almost sure that not all staff will be in any office to follow up on things.

Hello, I wanted to come on and let you know that I took the NCLEX-PN on Thursday at and was feeling extremely sick when the machine cut me off at the 95th question. I was clicking on the next tab, thinking that there was a computer glitch.:uhoh3: I didn't feel prepared for the questions that they were asking me; tons of priority questions, questions where two answers were good but I had to determine the better answer, about 5 all that apply. I didn't get any sleep the night that I took it. But I'm here to tell you that I found out this morning, unofficially, that I'm an LPN!!!!! :monkeydance: Hang in there everybody, have faith, believe in yourself, and never give up. What's God has for you is for you. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone still waiting, because it seems like the longest wait of your life. Good Luck!!!!!!

Well congratulations TanTaz! :balloons: Good for you!

I am graduating in January so I'm starting to read the NCLEX threads now. :uhoh3: You really give me hope :) I would hate to flunk and have to wait 45 days to retake the test.

hi dont worry. i think u did gud. everyone i know, stopped around 85 and they passed. wish u best of luck.

Hi everyone,

I took my NCLEX RN last Saturday, do you think it could be out now in the CA BRN? I checked this AM but I didnt see my name.

It is a holiday week, so offices have been closed for a few days and do not have full staff in for the other three days. Offices are also closed on weekends and a human has to review your file before a license number can be issued.

Average wait time in CA is ten days, not the two to three days that we see some posting with.

Unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done but to wait until next week in most cases, if not longer. Most offices will be closed again on Monday and Tuesday because of the holidays.

Please be aware that some of the threads above are more than a year old and that there are different requirements for finding out if you passed for the RN exam and the PN exam.

CA does not issue a license number without a SSN#. Average wait time is about a month if you do not have the SSN# and need to wait for the letter to arrive from the BRN.

For those that have a SSN#:

PN --- we do not have early results or unofficial results in CA for this. You must wait for a letter to be sent out by the Vocational Board and that takes about three weeks to receive, and if you have passed the exam, there will be a bill included to pay for the license. All told about a month to get a license number.

For the RN ---- earliest time to see your name on their website is two days, but rarely; more often three days. Average wait time is ten days and can take up to a month or so. Sometimes your transcripts do not make it in and they cannot issue a license without having received them. CA BRN will permit a new grad to write the exam if they graduated from school in CA and their name was on a roster submitted by their school of nursing in advance to the BRN.

Best of luck to those that are waiting.:balloons:
