NCLEX Takers Support Thread

If you will be taking NCLEX and would like to be prayed for, can we start a fourm for this. I know that some folks are not into prayer and I don't want to offend anyone, but I sure need it!

Good luck to everyone taking the boards....my one piece of advise that helped me pass my Nclex-RN at 75 questions was NOT studying the night before....i just reviewed minor details, like lab values, meds, etc. till 4pm. then i QUIT and relaxed. Kaplan taught me that and i believe it truly worked!! if your taking the test far away from your home (like mine was an hour away), i would stay at a hotel. My test was 8am so i did not want to drive!! plus that would have made me more nervous to drive in the day of! It worked for me and i hope it works for you all!! i know you want to cram every piece of info into your head but you really do need that good night sleep!

hi everyone!..i took my Ca nclex-rn exam last july27 and i passed!..i received the notification(mail) 'bout 2weeks after the said exam..now, my problem is how do i find my name in the list of successful examinees?..and which website?..i already checked the Ca BRN website but don't know how to proceed from there...really don't have a clue.. :(

Good Luck there! I'm also from the Philippines. Currently living at PA right now and hopefully will be taking the NCLEX by Oct or Nov. This would be my 2nd time taking the NCLEX. What state did you apply for?

ok, just asking for real, true honesty. coming up december it would be two years since i have graduated from nursing school. i took my nclex four times and will be taking it again for the 5th time (:crying2: ). i have recently signed up for the Kaplan class course in october and will take my boards around december. now my question is since the Kaplan is sooooo expensive i just want to make sure if anyone is in my same place that after taking the Kaplan class if it helped them to pass. i am realllyyyyy in desperate need to pass. bills, school loans, and it would be nice to have money just to have to spend. if someone can reply back with some encouraging words, that would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

Hi there!..i took my first Ca nclex-rn exam last july and i passed!..i guess, i wouldn't have made it without Kaplan(Qtrainer and Qbank)..but before that, i read a pathophysiology book which was also very helpful since i don't have that much knowledge in diseases..the whole time, i answered Kaplan practice qs only..also, don't forget the Infection Control mnemonics posted earlier in this thread..it really helped a lot in my passing the exam...good luck to you!..i really wish you'll make it this time..just trust in yourself!..also, a tip of advice..if you feel so down and discouraged somewhere between your preparation and taking the exam, just watch The Climb (by Miley Cyrus) music video in youtube..i bet after seeing the video, you'll feel a bit refreshed!..that's what i did..and i passed! again, good luck to you! :wink2:

Hey guys...someone earlier asked about Kaplan and i really have to say that it was GOD sent....I did everything Kaplan say to do from start to finish...i watched ALL the video's, went to on site classes, and completed all the qtrainers and did 80% of qbank questions!! Kaplan breaks down week to week what you should be doing and i followed it perfectly! and my results were passing after 1hr and 75 questions......if you are thinking about Kaplan i strongly recommend it....and if for some reason you were unsuccessful, you get your money back-as long as you followed the program.......! when watching the video's i did fill up a notebook with notes...it was helpful to me! i hope this helps! again...good luck to everyone!!! :nurse:

Hey guys, took my NCLEX on Monday, 8/17. Mine shut down at 75. I felt like I critically guessed on the entire exam even after studying for 2 1/2 months. I felt nauseous after that exam. I'm just hoping and praying I don't have to take that thing again. I'm 51 years old and don't need that stress again, Lord help me. I'm praying for all of us to pass. God bless you all.

Congratulations! I'm sure you're in cloud 9:yeah:

I'm taking my test tomorrow for the second try.. I don't know what to expect. I get good scores in my review but i still feel it will never be enough. seems that i already have nclex phobia. Sometimes I even think if I will be a RN. Am i capable to pass? Do i have the chance to feel what nclex passers feel? :crying2:

I am thinking right now, what kind of questions i'll get tomorrow.. I wanna cry right now. I put so much effort this time around. Please pray for me... I really wanna be a RN. I'm California too. I don't know when will the result will come out if I test friday.
