NCLEX Takers Support Thread

Published

If you will be taking NCLEX and would like to be prayed for, can we start a fourm for this. I know that some folks are not into prayer and I don't want to offend anyone, but I sure need it!

Hi Matt

It's great to have someone post a thread like this.....it's sad to say but i've been feeling so down since I failed the first time taking the NCLEX....i don't even have the passion to take it again.....and at the same time I'm having all sorts of problems with my life starting with not have a job....please pray for me......thanks

Hi Matt,

Please give yourself time to grieve when this happens and then when you're ready, start studying again. Please check out Suzanne's Plan.:) Here is the thread 07/08 revision of Suzanne's First Tip. This is located under the Student tab, scroll down to where you see NCLEX Discussion, and click on this. I would visit these threads anyway and you can see what others have to say that have used her plan. YOU CAN DO THIS!:redpinkhe

GOOD LUCK!

Yes it is very hard. I work full time, and I have a family. It is very hard however I use every break at work, after work and before work to study. If you have a supportive spouse it makes it so much easier. I don't have that so I have to again squeeze in times to study. I have tons of index cards I take every where. When I have 5 mins I study. Every minutes is important. Before I notice I have done at least 1 1/2 to 2 hours of studying. You can do it!! It is even harder for me because I have a four year old and I have cardiamyopathy. I am not going to give up. I will do it in Jan 2009 and so can you.

My prayers are with you. I am praying for anyone who needs them because miracles do happen. Good luck and remember you are a nurse.

Thank you for your positive attitude. I am married with 5 kids and hav a full-time job and listening to you makes me feel so much better knowing that I am not alone. We all have struggles and stories in our lives and your positive attitude and strength is amazing. I have taken the test 5 times and have failed. I have scheduled myself to take the test in February and am trying my best to study as much as I can. I pray for all of us who will be taking the test now and later. We are nurses. We passed the classes and we just need to get over this last hurdle. You will make a great nurse with the positive attitude and perserverance. Good luck to you.

good luck to you guys hope to hear good news stay focus and blessed remember with God all things are possible

I already rcv my att, but i don't plan to register yet, i am not prepared and same with you guys, I am married with three kids, have a full time job too.It is true..very difficult to manage.I read everytime I have a free time, having a 1 year and half son is too difficult..thanks to hubby he is very supportive and all i need is to have an ample time to do the review.I already started suzan's plan..i am almost done with the book..it took months for me to finished it..but at least now I am almost done..might go to the next step..i don't know when..but for sure I will take the exam before it's duedate (att).

I take my boards tomorrow, and am losing my mind. Studying constantly, feeling fairly confident but not so sure of myself... I know that sounds wierd, but in the 85 question comprehensive test at the end of the review book, I got a 60! Then I switched to computer review, and scored great on all the 10 question quizzes I took. I just don't know at this point... Anywho, wish me luck & PLEASE say a prayer for me. I'll know Wednesday whether I passed or failed...

I PASSED! I only had 85 questions, and immediately felt that I MUST have failed or I would have been given more questions. LOL, I know, I knew better, but anyway, I had walked into it hoping for like 150 questions, lol. Thank goodness! I'm still on cloud nine. However, I must go now, as I am already picking up extra shifts in the morning. :yeah:

I plan to take my NCLEX-PN for the 3rd time in Jan 2009. I am 39 too. Pray for me! I am putting The Lord 1st, exercising, relaxing and enjoying life. ASK, BELEIVE and RECEIVE.

Angela-Philadelphia

Thank you for reminding us what really matters.

I will be taking the NCLEX-PN for the 3rd time soon. I need to relax, exercise, and pray that everything will take its course. Don't know if I should fast or not. Need to be closer to the Lord right now. My teenage daugher has been giving me trouble in the last year and not doing too well in the marriage.

I will ASK, BELEIVE and then RECEIVE.

I do feel much more relaxed in my life even when everything else isn't right.

THINKING POSITIVE THOUGHTS AND POSITIVE THINGS WILL COME.

Congrats to you for starting this forum. Can't wait to be closer to the Lord.

Angela
