Those who have taken the NCLEX, can you please give me some advice as to what to expect and will I be an emotional wreck before and after the exam? I am a terrible test taker even if I know the information, and I also take a really long time to read the questions.
Any suggestions, comments, or advice? Any feedback is truly appreciated! Thank you in advance! =)

Hello,
1) Do not study the day before.
2) Watch a light hearted movie and get plenty of sleep the night before.
3) Have a full breakfast.
4) Listen to soft music on the way over. Forgive offensive drivers that morning (don't let them get to you).
5) Do not engage in stressful conversations the morning of (neither at home nor at the testing center).
6) Stay away from those who are hyper talkative.
7) Say a prayer.
8) Spend the most time on your first 10 questions.
9) Let it flow...
Best wishes !!! :)

I took my nclex pn yesterday morning, and I have to admit I'm a nervous wreck waiting for my results. The best advice I can give you is to stay calm during your exam. Anxiety is a big player in test taking and the less you have the better you'll do. I know that's often easier said then done, certainly for an exam with such high stakes. When I took my exit hesi exam I had to keep telling myself to focus in the question in front of me, don't worry about the last question or the next...one at a time. I looked at each question as if i were in that room with that patient. During the nclex yesterday I did everything I could to stay calm. I'm hoping that it helped. My exam shut off at 85, and I'm anxiously awaiting my results. Good luck!
