Hi all,
So I'm starting 3rd semester next month and I'm thinking I need to start preparing for the NCLEX. I've noticed many people talking about Kaplan or Saunders study guides and I was just wondering if you can purchase them at a store like Barnes and Noble? Or do you have to order them through a specific website?
Also, is it too soon to start studying for the exam... or too late?
Thanks in advance.

It is definitely not too late to start preparing but it may be too early as you have not learned everything yet. I tried to prepare during my last semester of school and I felt overwhelmed, of course everyone is different, but I would focus on getting through school first. Once you're done with school you will have plenty of time to prepare.

I'm also starting third semester next month and I started using Saunder's last semester. I can honestly tell you that studying with it and doing lots of questions before my exams improved my grade.

I really liked the Kaplan Content Review Book. It is strictly review (no practice questions) but the layout is awesome! Lots of tables/diagrams.
You can buy it on amazon for $38.

A good book for practice questions is the LaCharity Prioritization and Delegation book.
You can buy it on amazon for about $38 as well.

Thanks everyone! I'm going to check those out and just at least start thinking about it. I've downloaded some free apps on my phone... they have been good this summer to help refresh my memory. Having the entire summer off frightens me!
