Nclex struggles.

Published

I dont know what to do. I am stuck at a crossroads with this test. I found out i failed for the 5th time and i honestly what to do now. I have been out of school since may 2014 and have tried literally everything to try and pass.

Disclaimer: i am not going to look into another career or give up because i know that this is what i want to do. And frankly i will not let 4 yrs of school go to waste!

I have spent so much money on reviews and books but this time around i want to start fresh and anew. Idk where or how to start over. I want to retry hurst the updated version but ive exhausted my funds with this test.

What should i do? How should i start over?

]Nclex success doesn't show whether or not one is fit to be a nurse. Its a test and just that... A test.

I know my desires for my career i dont need validation from you or anyone else.

I came here looking for help not for your poor judgment and lack of compassion miss NURSE. And u might want to look into the "whole God and Jesus thing" you need it.

Its sickening to see how heartless ppl can be[/i]. Passing the nclex does not make u a good nurse[/QUOTE]

No. But it does, however, make you a NURSE.

Stop biting the hands of those who are trying to feed you intelligent, truthful & grounded-in-reality information. If you don't care to hear the truth, don't post questions on the internet.

Lol, u feel accomplished?

There's going be a time when you too will need the help of others to lift u up instead of kicking you while you are down. I wonder then if you will be singing the same tune.

I didn't bite hands that are trying to feed me, I'm no stranger to the truth but I won't deal with the foolery. You didn't need to post on MY thread take your own advice and excuse yourself. Good day.

With that said, I'm really not sure what you're doing wrong. Honestly you're pretty much just going to have to fork over some money to do a review since you have tried and tried on your own and have yet to be successful. I suggest you do Hurst online for content and Uworld for practice. Uworld rationales are amazing and I realized how much I forgot over the last few years. IMO Uworld was very similar to if not harder than the actual NCLEX. I failed my first attempt (so I know how you may feel) but I passed on my 2nd attempt. The first thing you need to do is take accountability. On my first attempt I didn't really study. I did some practice questions here and there and thought because I did well on my exit Hesi I would be fine and pass. Mistake #1 and 2. I did not prepare. I also had to overcome my anxiety. That was a big reason as to why I was not successful. In retrospect I'm glad I did not pass because I had a opportunity to study more and realize that I didn't know everything. I was not quite ready and simply put I would not have been a safe nurse had I passed the 1st attempt. That's the most important thing... To be a safe nurse. So after I failing the 1st attempt I did hurts online. I watched one or two videos a day and followed up with practice questions from Uworld over that content. Then about 2 weeks before testing I took off and really focused on my studies. I also listened to a Mark Kilmek lecture (12 one) over prioritization, delegation and assignment. When I tested I had to reminded myself that I may get more than 75 and that's ok. If I keep getting questions then I'm still in the game and have a change to pass! I passed my 2nd attempt with 108 questions and you can pass too!

i just have to say this to you that what kind of nurse are you ??? Instead of lifting one another why are you just jumping at her throat! One of the biggest subject that we are taught in nursing is compassion and care which you don't demonstrate none of them. She is here to ask for help and advice instead you Slam her down in the floor which is heart ranching. I'm not here to preach you but as a nurse you will come across certain situation which requires you to be more emepthatic. If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all.

Could you please send it to me too at [email protected]

am struggling to pass the exam .

whats your issue?

Most likely violates the terms of agreement the person who paid for that access signed. Not exactly an ethical move.

Please don't be discouraged. Believe in yourself. I graduated 25 years ago(Long time)... I finally passed NCLEX after multiple attempts.

I have some notes, if you are intrested... send me you e-mail address.

It would be of great help if you could share to me also how you had prepared for the exam as i have been struggling for the exams being an international student . plz email me to [email protected]

Not cool or compassionate at all to kick someone while they're down. She's looking for some encouragement and positive feedback here to see what she can do for NCLEX success. My opinion? Try to put LESS stress on yourself. Yes, you should study like crazy, but don't get inside your own head. I passed my NCLEX on the first attempt with 75 questions, and what I did to prepare was the ATI which was required for me by my program, and I purchased the book Hogan's NCLEX review. I mostly went off the book, which is loaded with questions and comes with an online code for a huge test bank. I liked the way the review was broken down and the rationales helped me understand in a way that the Saunders book couldn't. We don't all process information the same way and I think there is a very likely potential that you are overthinking it. If you are a good nurse, you'll prove it to yourself, go with your gut. Trust those instincts. When I sat for the NCLEX I was sweating, my heart was pounding like crazy (and I probably threw a few PVCs lol) but I really just took my time with the question, reading it a few times and asking myself "what is this question asking me?" and reading the responses and comparing them to if they were relevant to the what the question wanted or not. If SATA is a problem for you (as it was for me, and I ended up with about 60% being SATA questions) try to view each response as a "True or False" statement and again, work it back into if it is appropriate for what the question is asking you. I genuinely wish you the best of luck, I know how intimidating it was for me and I have a lot of sympathy for what you must be going through. While I waited for my results, I had absolutely thought I failed and it was agonizing. Don't beat yourself up and don't let these mean nurses bully you either.
